In 2017, my mom owned a local bakery in South Eastern Idaho. It was a family affair for sure.

 

I got involved with the financials trying to help her be profitable by spending money on social media and trying to understand why some months did well and other didn't.

 

At the time, I didn't have the tools, know-how or the vocab to really answer those questions until I heard of Data Science.

So in my last semester of my accounting degree, I jumped ship and never looked back. I felt like I could contribute to something meaningful by helping my mom with her business.
